Hi! We are visiting WDW next week - Dec10 to 19th 2010.We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside and my 7 year old daughter wants to go to the pool. Will the water be heated? What are the average temperatures this time of the year?

Hi Ana!  No matter what time of year it is all of the Disney pools are heated to 82 degrees.  While this seems warm this can still be quite cool for a swim if the air temperature around you is cold!  I have looked at the upcoming weather forecast for Orlando and the Disney area and during your stay the average temperatures for highs will be about 63 degrees and the lows will average about 43 degrees.  Right now there is one day of rain forecast with that being on the 12th but that can change as Florida weather is known for change!

Apparently you are hitting Florida when the temperatures are going to be about 10 degrees lower then the average for the month so please bring sweaters and jackets!  Try swimming only during the mid part of the day when the sun is out and warming to the fullest!
