Hi, we're visiting WDW next Sept and bringing daughter's boyfriend for his first ever trip, how busy does EF&W Festival make Epcot as this is her fav park and she wants to show it off to him? Are wait times for rides usually longer than normal?

Welcome back John! Thanks for stopping by with your questions.
September is a good period to visit WDW. The weather is great and Disney Theme Parks tend to be less busy. Because of the amazing Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Epcot will be busier than usual, especially during weekends, when you can find many groups enjoying the event. Waiting time in lines for attractions tend to be a little longer than normal.
If it is possible, I recommend you visit this enchanting park on weekdays during this Festival. I have been to WDW twice during this event and I remember once we decided to visit Epcot on a Saturday and it was very crowded. It was not a good experience to my 6-year-old daughter; we found long lines for all attractions and too many people walking around the World Showcase lagoon.
Hope this helps your planning. Come back to visit us again soon if you have further questions.
    Have a magical day!
