Visiting WDW on 02/09 -15/09. Need to get from Carrib BR to Holiday Inn International Drive for conf. on the 10th, 11th, & 12th. Any < expens. opts for transp than renting car? Husband & daughter will enjoy parks & I will meet up w/ them

There are several options for transportation to outside areas of Orlando.  Renting a car is one although you stated you were not in favor of that.  You can get rental cars and information about them right on Disney property at the Disney Car Care Center located close to the Magic Kingdom.  407-824-3470.  You can also rent a car through the Dolphin resort.

You can get cabs at all Disney resorts for transportation through-out Orlando.  This tends to be a bit more expensive.  They are available for about $2.20 for the first 1/4 mile and then $2.20 per extra mile.  These rates might have gone up since I last used them.  This is not an inexpensive option but it is one that will get you to your destination directly and quickly.  Be sure and look at a map to know where you are heading so you can make sure the driver is taking you in a direct route.

There are city busses that will stop at Downtown Disney as your third possibility.  You will have to get the routes and see if they will get you close to your destination.  These will often make many stops and will take longer then the other two options above. If you are heading to a conference this choice will take a large chunk of your day for travel.
