We will be visiting WDW with a 23 month old. What is the "parent swap"?

    Hi George!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for a visit to Walt Disney World Resort with a little one and the Rider Switch service will help make your trip so much easier. It's the perfect way for everyone in your group to enjoy the attractions on their "must-do" list! When using Rider Switch, your entire group will proceed to the attraction queue entrance, including the little one who will not be riding, and explain to the Cast Member that you would like to use the Rider Switch service. They will direct the first group of riders into the attraction queue with a Rider Switch lanyard, while your little one and an adult are free to enjoy other areas of the theme park.

The first group of riders will proceed through the attraction queue and exchange the Rider Switch lanyard for a Rider Switch ticket before enjoying the attraction. During this time, your little one and the adult with him or her are free to do other things in the theme park. In my family, we like to use this time to ride other attractions that my little one will enjoy or grab a snack. Once the first group is done riding, they will meet up with the rest of your family and the adult who did not yet get to ride can use the Rider Switch ticket to enjoy the attraction with one other Guest using the attractions FastPass+ queue. My family loves the Rider Switch program because my youngest doesn't doesn't have to wait in queues for attractions he won't be riding and because my oldest gets to enjoy the attraction twice, once with myself and once with my husband!

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
