We will be visiting WDW and my 18 mo old son has allergies - egg/ dairy / nuts. I typically bring all my food with me ... are there places to buy groceries? We are staying at Saratoga in a 1BR with kitchen. Are there any good restaurants to accommodate?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Most families with food allergies report that Walt Disney World is an incredibly user-friendly and accommodating vacation destination.  I'm happy to report that I'm one of them.  When you make your dining reservations (407-WDW-DINE) be sure to mention that your little pirate has allergies, and what they are.  This will be noted on your reservation.  When you arrive, either the chef or a designee will meet your party and discuss what items on the menu, or specially-prepared items will be acceptable and safe for your son.  At counter-service venues, you simply need to mention your allergies to the cast member at the register, and s/he will have a manager or designee come speak to you about options.  If you prefer to bring your own groceries, a supply will be available at Saratoga Springs (basic groceries, some frozen items, bread, milk, etc.)  There are also many grocery stores nearby (Publix, Walmart, etc.).  Finally, you may prefer to use a grocery delivery service, which will happily deliver groceries directly to your villa.  Our favorite is gardengrocer.com.  Have a wonderful trip!
