We are visiting WDW MK during peak season with EMH (7am) as non-resort guests. How much time to park,tram,monorail/ferry to get through main gates by 7:15am for rope drop at 8am?

    Howdy, Laura!

Visiting any Walt Disney World Resort theme park first thing in the morning is the best! The crowds are low which gives you the chance to experience more!

Typically, early in the morning, the crowd levels are really low and traffic is not much of a problem. However, to get to the Magic Kingdom, there is a bit of construction going on right now, so I would give an extra 15 minutes to be sure that you make it to the park by 8am. Leaving your hotel about 45-60 minutes before the time you want to arrive should be good.

Seeing as though there are Extra Magic Hours on the day you plan to attend, the park will have already had rope drop at 7am. By 8am, all other guests will be allowed to enter the park. To be at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom by 8am, I would arrive at the Ticket and Transportation Center no later than 7:15-7:30am. This will give you 30-45 minutes to either ride the Monorail or Ferry to the Magic Kingdom and ready to conquer your magical day by 8am.

Laura, enjoy your time at Walt Disney World! If you have more questions, please stop by and visit with the Disney Parks Moms Panel again soon!

    Happy planning!
