We'll be visiting WDW in May and will be staying off-site. What is the best option for getting from park to park? We are spending one full day at MK then visiting the other 3 parks the next... don't have as much time as we'd like.

    Hi Kristin!

I've done numerous short visits to Walt Disney World. My family can't stay away from the parks too long and it's our way to get in some of the magic in between those long vacations to the "World"!

If it's an option for you, I would suggest driving yourself to the parks. This way you can save wait time for any shuttles that may (you'll have to check with them) be available at your off-site location. While it can be a bit on the pricey side to pay for parking (about $14/car/day currently, though subject to change), it's nice to be on your own schedule.

I would like to share with you, however, it's my opinion that three parks in one day might be a bit much. I visit Walt Disney World parks because of the wonderful, magical moments that I make with my family and the memories we create when we take time to immerse ourselves in the Disney magic. I have actually visited 3 parks in 1 day in the past, and if your visit to Walt Disney World is a short one especially, you might miss out on more of the magic if you try to visit 3 parks as opposed to maybe just two in one day. While ordinarily it might help if the parks are opening early and closing late on the day you visit, without the benefit of extra magic hours available to you, it may not be much of an advantage to you for this visit. Not to say it isn't possible to enjoy 3 parks in 1 day, but I would be concerned about missing out on one thing or another by doing that. I would really like you to enjoy your visit no matter how you spend your days there!

Hope this helps. Feel free to come back to the Moms Panel if you have more questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
