I will be visiting WDW in May 2010 with my grandson (5) and daughter. Can you tell me anything about the VP Suite at Widerness Lodge?

Oh Denise you will have a treat if you book the Vice President suite at the Wilderness Lodge. Our family had the opportunity to stay in this great location a couple of years ago.  It has a beautiful wrap around balcony that gives you wonderful views overlooking Bay Lake, the pool, and the marina, and of course "Old Faithful".  The main living area is quite large with plenty of seating.  There is a kitchenette and dining area and then the master bedroom is set back behind that.  The master bath is quite large with most of the bells and whistles you would expect in a suite.  We also had the adjoining double queen room that can connect which was off to the left as you enter.  The extra half bath was great when we had everyone there.

The decor remains the old lodge feeling but the amenities are modern.  It was a lovely stay at a wonderful resort and we would all recommend this special room to anyone who can have the opportunity.  (And I would recommend it over the Presidential because of the great balcony!)
