    Visiting WDW May13-18 to celebrate our twin DD 6th bday and DS 2nd bday. We've stayed at the AKL 4 years ago and loved it! But I would also love to stay at the Contemporary resort. Animals are amazing but the monorail is convenient! Suggestions?

    Hi Nancy!  I am a firm believer to try new and different resorts every time you come if you can.  Each one will have its benefits and drawbacks and yet I have never stayed in one where I came away unhappy. Only after years did we find a "home" location that we decided to keep coming back to for our vacation.  Even with that in this past year we decided to head back out and try "old" things once again such as the cabins.

    The Contemporary is a wonderful resort located within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom making it especially appealing to families who will spend most of their time at the park.  Being on the monorail system you can also access EPCOT with ease.

    The amenities will be similar to the Animal Kingdom Lodge with the addition of a marina where you can rent boats, charter a fishing excursion, or even water ski.  To reach Fort Wilderness you can simply hop on a water launch and will be docked in about 12 minutes.

    I say try something new and the Contemporary is a good choice!
