Will be visiting WDW in May 2013, is it absolutely necessary to make reservations for the 50's diner or some of the other restaurants or do they accept walk-ins? I'm not sure how the day will go, so I don't want to commit.

    Hi Doreen,

Due to the popularity of Disney's restaurants, reservations are strongly recommended. There is always a possibility that someone else will cancel their dining plans and you might get in. Unfortunately, more often than not, I see situations where people are kicking themselves that they didn't just book an Advanced Dining Reservation.

Like you, I prefer to leave my days open to spontaneity. However, my table service dining reservations is the one area that I do not leave up to chance. Having the opportunity to sit down, relax and recap our day while in an air conditioned themed restaurant is important to me.

While this may not be the answer you were hoping to hear, I hope you will reconsider and save yourself the disappointment of not being able to dine where you would like.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation. Please let me know if I can assist you further,
