I am visiting WDW in March on the opening weekend of the new Beauty and The Beast movie release. Is there anything special happening in the parks that weekend? I would love to take my 6 yo daughter and 5 yo nephew to any special activities for the film.

    Hi Lori!

It won't be long before you'll be enjoying your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I'm sure you're counting down the days, just as I'm counting the days until the release of Beauty and the Beast, a live-action remake of Disney's 1991 animated tale! I can't wait to see the new film - it looks breathtakingly beautiful, and I've got to admit I'm kind of an Emma Watson fangirl. I'm eager to see her take on the strong-willed, kindhearted Belle. I know it's going to be amazing!

While there haven't been any announcements yet about any special events surrounding the release of the film, I'm keeping a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog for breaking news. You never know when they might provide guests with a little "extra magic" to celebrate a tale as old as time!

One thing I know for sure is that Disney Springs will be abuzz on opening night, with guests flocking to the AMC Disney Springs 24 Dine-In Theatres to see Beauty and the Beast on the big screen! If you haven't experienced "Fork and Screen" at AMC Disney Springs, you should try it! This experience definitely takes "dinner and a movie" to a whole new level. Guests have reserved seating for the movie, sit in comfy seats, and have seat-side service to deliver delicious meals to enjoy while you watch the movie!

Fork and Screen offers a full kids' menu, featuring cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, mac and cheese and fish and chips. Hungry for dessert? Before the credits roll, you can choose from milkshakes, doughnuts, or several different "cake stacks" (layered desserts, served in a Mason jar - YUM!). Your seat-side server can be summoned with a personal call button, and is also available to place an order for hot popcorn, soda or movie candy!

My fingers are crossed you'll get to experience a bit of "Beauty"-ful magic on your vacation! - Diane W.
