Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Evelyn. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! There's no place I'd rather be, that's for sure.
As a mom of three, I totally understand your concern. Two of my three kiddos have small appetites
and they're picky eaters, so it makes me cringe a tiny bit when I
book dining reservations that I know they won't make the most of. Unfortunately, if you book a dining reservation at a location that offers a prix fixe menu or an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal with pricing per Guest, you'll need to pay per person listed on the reservation. It's a bit painful to pay for my reluctant eaters in those instances! In an effort to cope, I try to remember that I'm not just paying for the meal - I'm also paying for the experience. And the experience at these types of dining locations is always, always worth it!
If any of your kiddos are picky eaters, I encourage you to chat with your Servers about possible modifications or substitutions. I've found the restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort to be very accommodating! For example, last year we had a reservation at
Be Our Guest Restaurant. My oldest kiddo was old enough to be charged adult pricing, but none of the adult entrée options or sides were appealing to him. Our Server was able to substitute an entrée for plain grilled chicken with french fries as a side!
Be sure to take advantage of the
mobile food and beverage ordering feature on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. This handy tool has saved my family lots of precious time in the theme parks!
I hope this was helpful, Evelyn. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
