We are visiting WDW and I have kids with multiple food allergies. When mobile ordering first rolled out, pre-ordering allergy safe food was never an option. Now I see several restaurants with have allergy menus online. Can I preorder safe food now?

    Hi Kelly!

As the mom to a little one with multiple food allergies, I know how challenging it can be to accommodate food allergies during vacation and make sure everyone has a safe and tasty meal. In our experience, the Cast Members and Chefs at Walt Disney World Resort have always done a fantastic job at making sure that my little one has safe and tasty meals to enjoy during our trip.

One of my favorite new things at Walt Disney World Resort recently is mobile food and beverage ordering! It saves so much time when you can order your food in advance and skip the queues at quick service locations. You are correct that when this program initially began, it did not accommodate allergy-friendly options, meaning Guests who were accommodating special diets still needed to order at the restaurant. However, allergy-friendly meals can now be ordered using the mobile ordering service!

Allergy-friendly options are generally located at the bottom of the mobile ordering menu and are organized into allergy-friendly categories. If you are accommodating multiple allergies, your specific combination of allergies may not be listed in the mobile app. For example, the Columbia Harbour House menu lists options for peanut/tree nut allergy-friendly meals and egg allergy-friendly meals, but it doesn't list meals that are peanut, tree nut and egg allergy-friendly. If you need to accommodate a combination of allergies that isn't listed in the mobile ordering menu, you will need to order at the restaurant so you can list all of the allergies you are accommodating on your order, where you will also have the option to speak to a Chef or Cast Member with allergy experience to help you order.
