Visiting WDW in June, our 5 year old son LOVES dinosaurs and we heard a T-Rex restaurant will be opening in Downtown Disney this summer. Can you verify and offer other 'must do' rides & attractions for our Dino kid?

Having been to the T-Rex Cafe in Kansas City, it is an incredible experience for dinosaur fans!  So the good news is that the T-Rex Cafe is being built as of early 2008, but the bad news is that no opening date has been said.  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.  As for the must-do rides and attractions, I think the Animal Kingdom is a must.  Within the park is an entire area devoted to dinosaurs called DinoLand U.S.A.  It has TriceraTop Spin (much like Dumbo but with dinosaurs), Dinosaur, and Primeval Whirl.  I've included a link to each ride so you could look over the restrictions and appropriateness for your son.  Also, there is a campy, carnival game area called Chester and Hester's Dino-Rama where prizes (like stuffed dinosaurs) can be won.  Finally, The Boneyard is a multi-leveled play area for kids with a section devoted to digging up dinosaur bones buried in sand.  You could even eat at Restaurantosaurus - a dinosaur themed McDonalds!  I should also point out that at Epcot, Universe of Energy has giant dinosaurs featured as Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Nye explore energy options.  Have fun!
