Visiting WDW in June. My family and I were talking about the best shoes to wear during our visit. Sandals, flip flops, tennis shoes? I'm thinking flip flops some days but not sure if we'll be permitted on some of the rides if we wear flip flops? Thanks

    Hi Angela,

I love to answer questions from my fellow Buckeyes! I will answer this solely based on what works for my family. Understand that you will do more walking than you have done in your life, unless of course you and your family are an avid walkers. Honestly, I like to start my day in a good pair of tennis shoes-ones that have great arch support and nice padding. Sometime throughout the day, I like to change into "Crocs" sandals. My very first trip to Walt Disney World left me plagued with shin splints after about 2 days. Changing shoes midday changes the impact of your feet pounding the pavement and saves you from the dreaded shin splints. Kids don't seem to care much as long as they have on a great pair of shoes. "Crocs" seem to work for them as well. You will look around at feet while visiting Walt Disney World and see many interpretations of comfortable footwear, but use what ultimately works for you. Happy walking!!
