We are visiting WDW in June. I have checked for reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table and Be Our Guest and there are none available for the week of our visit. Is there a "best time" to call and check for possible cancellations?

    Hello there, Phyllis!

My dear husband is the master at securing hard to get Advanced Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World. I will share his tips and tricks with you and hopefully they work for you as well!

The very first thing you must be willing to do is check back often. Other families change their plans all the time leading up to their vacation. If you see a time available - grab it ASAP. You also must be flexible on your time and day. If you planned on going to Epcot on Tuesday and you notice that there is an open table at Be Our Guest Restaurant that day - you may want to change your plans around a bit. You also may need to dine later or earlier than you may be used to, but I promise you the experience will worth it!

If a family does not plan on making it to their reservation, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. Even though reservation times can and do open up at any time - I would say there is more of a chance of that happening a day or two before.

Make sure you do have some reservations made for yourself so that you do have a 'Plan B' option just in case.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Phyllis!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
