We're visiting WDW in June with 2 boys ages 18/19. We'd like a great pool for this age group; a hotel room with two sleeping areas (3 beds), good transportation, easy access to MK & Blizzard Beach. Like to avoid loud/noisy hotels. Pls recc. 2-3 hotels

    Hi Les,

Since the Magic Kingdom and Blizzard Beach are at nearly opposite ends of the Walt Disney World Resort, it is hard to find a resort that is close to both.  The good news, however, is that complimentary Disney transportation can get you anywhere you want to go on property easily from any of the Disney resort hotels.

However, if you want to be really close to Blizzard Beach, I would suggest getting a two-bedroom villa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  These rooms provide two sleeping areas and enough beds so that each of your adult sons can have his own. These rooms also offer a full-kitchen and laundry facilities too.  This resort is gorgeous, secluded, and offers the stunning 11,000-square-foot Uzima pool.  (None of the Disney resort pools are designed exclusively for thrill-seekers.  Your sons will find that kind of excitement at nearby Blizzard Beach.)

If, on the other hand, you would rather be close to the Magic Kingdom then the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is your resort.  Nestled on the shores of Bay Lake in the Magic Kingdom resort area, it is beautiful and quiet.  This resort also offers expansive two-bedroom villas with separate sleeping quarters for your sons.  Ask for a "dedicated" two bedroom villa as this kind of room includes two queen beds instead of a queen bed and a sleeper sofa in the second bedroom.  The pool at this resort is, in my opinion, more beautiful than the Uzima pool but it is also smaller.  If your sons are looking for a huge pool, you are better off to choose Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I hope you find these suggestions helpful, Les.  Enjoy your time at Walt Disney World with your family!
