We are visiting WDW in July and staying at the Boardwalk villas. I have stayed at Wilderness Lodge and Saratoga Springs before. What other resorts would be fun to go see? We will have some time when we aren't in the parks and want to visit other resorts.

    Hi, Patti!

I’m glad to hear you’ll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this summer! I stayed at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn for the first time this past December and fell in love with the area. I think you’re going to enjoy how close the BoardWalk Villas are to Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and all of the other restaurants, shops and entertainment along Crescent Lake.

Just a short walk from your resort are the Beach Club Villas, a favorite resort because of the proximity to Epcot, amazing pool, and great dining options. Be sure to stop in at Beaches and Cream for a sweet treat! Also high on my list are the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas. This resort is known for its African-inspired architecture, incredible rooms, and sweeping savanna views. If you have time, a visit to the three resorts on the monorail line—Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort (the home of Bay Lake Tower) and Disney’s Polynesian Resort—are worth a visit. Disney Vacation Club Villas are currently under construction at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and are expected to be complete in late 2013!

I hope you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted visit to Walt Disney World, Patti! Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
