We are visiting WDW in July 2015. We feel we have to stay in a Disney resort to get fast passes 60 days before as it will be so busy. What do you think?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel, Karen! Thank you so much for bringing us your question.

I am a huge fan of staying on-property at a Walt Disney World resort. There is nothing like totally immersing yourself in the magic of Disney. One of the many advantages of staying on-property is the ability to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance. This will definitely give you a head start on the guests who are not staying on-property or who will be making their FastPass+ selection at one of the kiosks inside the theme parks.

Don't fret is you are not staying on-property. Guests staying off-property can still make their FastPass+ selections ahead of their visit. As long as they have Disney theme park tickets linked to their My Disney Experience account, they can begin making their selections 30 days in advance.

I would definitely recommend choosing one of these options as opposed to waiting until you are inside the parks. Popular attractions, such as meeting Anna & Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, fill up very quickly.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
