Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Rex. We're so glad you stopped by with this question!
You are sure to have a galactic good time at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. My son dreams of becoming a Jedi and joining the Resistance, so when he stepped into
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge for the first time, he was astonished! He said, "Mom! I really
am in a galaxy far, far away!"
One of my Padawan's favorite galactic adventures in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge was visiting
Oga's Cantina. He just loved sipping on a Carbon Freeze while he listened to droid DJ R-3X spin out-of-this-world tunes! This infamous watering hole is very popular among bounty hunters, smugglers, starship pilots, and travelers from far off lands, so a reservation can certainly be hard to come by. Let's chat about how to get a reservation at Oga's Cantina for you and your crew!
Dining reservations can be made up to 60-days in advance. With just a little over a month until your visit, your booking window is open, but you may not be seeing any availability for the date of your visit. My best advice is to check for availability on the
online dining reservation system or on the
My Disney Experience mobile app as often as you can between now and your arrival. When I'm trying to score a hard-to-get dining reservation, I check availability multiple times throughout the day. In my experience, persistence usually pays off! At this time, Guests traveling in parties of 10 or more are asked to split into smaller groups in dining locations to better allow for physical distancing. You may have a better chance of experiencing Oga's Cantina if you split your group into smaller parties and book more than one reservation. I've found same-day availability on the My Disney Experience mobile app before, so if you still haven't gotten your hands on a reservation by the date of your visit, be sure to keep checking even after you've entered Disney's Hollywood Studios!
While you're exploring Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, I recommend stopping by the
Milk Stand. Order Batuu's legendary Blue Milk
and Green Milk and have a family taste test! I also recommend fueling up at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. My Padawan is a picky eater, but the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip from this Black Spire eatery is his most favorite meal in all of Walt Disney World!
Have you checked out the
Know Before You Go section of the Walt Disney World Resort website? It has lots of important information about the health and safety measures being taken in and out of the theme parks.
I hope this was helpful, Rex. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios!
