Visiting WDW for the first time over Xmas-- just myself and my 5 yo daughter. Any suggestions re: how I can still have Santa gifts for her on Christmas morning? Should I ship the gifts to the hotel prior to leaving? Will they deliver them to room?

    Hi Tracy!

Traveling during the holidays can always be tricky!  We travel a LOT over the holidays and we've adopted a plan that works for our family.

It would make me much too nervous to ship all her goodies down there (for risk of them getting lost in transit)--because then she'd have nothing...sure, they could be insured, but you still wouldn't have anything for her.  If you do ship to your resort, they will deliver the package to the room for you.

I'd suggest packing a few smaller items with you (hiding them well))--maybe her stocking, and a note for her from Santa saying that he's also left goodies at home for her to enjoy once she returns.  This will also help the 'post Walt Disney World blues' that some kids experience after a vacation.

    Have a magical vacation!
