Hi Sarah,
How exciting to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World! I suggest that all first-time visitors view the
Walt Disney World planning video. This will allow you to see all four theme parks and start to think about which ones are best for your family.
On a first trip, I believe that a day at
Magic Kingdom is a great idea! This iconic theme park includes Cinderella Castle, and has so many attractions for your family to enjoy. Your children are at such a great age to take in all the magic that comes from meeting so many characters including many Disney princesses and Mickey Mouse himself, and experiencing classic rides such as the Mad Tea Party and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Of the other three theme parks, I believe that there is something for your children's ages at each of these parks. If anyone in your party is a big Star Wars or Disney Junior fan, you will want to head to
Disney's Hollywood Studios, which includes attractions and shows from both of these worlds. At
Disney's Animal Kingdom, animal lovers get a chance to see many animals that they probably do not get to see in every day life, including giraffes, zebras, and elephants. Finally, at
Epcot, my daughter used to love stopping at the
Kidcot Fun Stops around World Showcase as we explored the pavilions.
I would love to help you plan more Sarah; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please write back if you have any further questions!
