We are visiting WDW for the first time in March. We are staying at the Ft Wilderness Cabins, and I was wondering if it is so spread out that we should rent a golf cart to get back and forth to the bus stop and around the grounds?

    Hi Melissa,

Fort Wilderness is one of my family's favorite Disney destinations.  There are so many activities and special events (Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Hoop Dee Doo Revue, carriage rides, fishing excursions, horseback riding, bike trails....get the idea!) that you could enjoy a fabulous vacation without setting foot in a theme park.  The resort is very large, and my family usually does rent a golf cart.  My kids love driving around, and we find it to be a bit quicker than taking the internal bus transportation that runs through the property.  However, many guests chose not to rent a cart, and find the buses to be reliable and convenient.  We've done both, and while a card is certainly a "nicety", it's by no means a necessity to have a fabulous vacation here.

    Have a great trip!
