We are visiting WDW on 10/11/09-10/17/09 for the first time. My kids are 11 &9, would they enjoy the Mickey's not so scary Halloween party? Should we go to MK all day and then stay for the party or start at a different park? Hours short in the fall.

I guess we never know what our kids will find fun and interesting but I have never had a child or adult say that they didn't have a great time at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  The lines are shorter for all the great attractions and of course they will find trick or treat stations for some good candy through-out the park.  The Halloween parade is different and fun and my absolute must see is the Headless Horseman as he gallops through the streets on his big black steed....very impressive!  Think about watching the fireworks on the back side of the castle during this night. It will be such a different view and it feels like they are right directly over your head! Almost everyone will be dressed up even if it isn't the actual Halloween date and its fun to see all the different costumes.

Since this can be a long day I suggest you head to another park in the morning and then back to your resort for a short rest.  You can enter the Magic Kingdom at 4:00pm using your event ticket.  Consider getting dining reservations in the park so you can eat before the actual start time of 7:00pm.

    Have a great time!
