I am visiting WDW for the first time Feb 2-9(2adults&2kids, 6&4) and was wondering if it is best to make reserv for dinner every night. Also can we make reservations at a different park then the one we are visiting that day?We didn't get parkhopper

    Hi Amy,

I'm so excited for you and your family to visit Walt Disney World for the first time!  It truly is a magical place where family members of all ages can play and laugh together.

When we travel to WDW, our family almost always makes reservations for dinner.  It kind of gives us a chance to relax a bit from touring the parks, and helps us keep a daily routine.

In order to dine in a restaurant that's located inside a park, you must have theme park admission.  Without a Park Hopper, you would not be able to dine in a different park than the one you visited earlier in the day.  There are, however, some wonderful restaurants located in the resorts, Boardwalk area, and Downtown Disney.

If you'd like some dining recommendations outside the parks, feel free to send a follow up question with your family's dining preferences.  I'd be happy to help.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
