We will be visiting WDW for the very first time. We are so excited, but the planning is OVERWHELMING! I am torn on which meal plan to choose - plus ordeluxe. We plan to do character meals (castle lunch/ chef mickey breakfast).Which do you recommend?

    Hi Karla,

I understand how overwhelming vacation planning can seem but remember that this is supposed to be fun!  If you tackle one small aspect of your trip at a time, you'll find that it is a manageable task.  You can do this!  Have faith, and don't forget that the Moms Panel is here to help you every step of the way.

I happily snatched up your question about the Disney Dining Plans because I love questions about dining at Walt Disney World.  You will be amazed at the incredible array of options available to guests dining on Disney property.  Unless your family wishes to spend a considerable amount of time at restaurants each day, I would opt for Magic Your Way Plus Dining.  From my family's point of view, the Magic Your Way Plus Deluxe Dining includes more food than we could possibly eat each day (3 meals and 2 snacks/person daily).  In order to get your money's worth out of the deluxe plan, you'll want to eat primarily at table service restaurants.  It takes more time to eat at these delightful restaurants.  If hitting as many attractions in the Disney theme parks is a priority for your family, you may find the deluxe plan too time consuming.

The Magic Your Way Plan Plus Dining is the plan my family chooses most often.  With one table service, one quick service, and one snack credit per person each day, it still enables us to enjoy meals at some of Disney's most incredible restaurants (including character dining experiences).  We feel that this plan allows us to strike an agreeable balance between time spent dining and time spent enjoying attractions.

Let us know if you need any additional assistance.  We'd be delighted to help!
