Hi there, I am visiting WDW for the very first time in December. I have been reading about many things on the mom panel... you guys are great!!! I was wondering how long does it take to get from the airport to The All Star Movie Resort?

Hi Tammy!  The time from the Orlando airport to anywhere on Disney property will certainly depend on the time of day and the route you take.  During the rush hours in the morning and in the evening the time is definitely going to be longer. Also if there is some sort of accident or breakdown on a road this will cause great delays.  I would allow yourself 45 minutes and this could be as short as 30 or as long as an hour due to circumstances.

If you are taking a taxi or a private service they will know what route is going to be the fastest and will be able to avoid those slow downs. When you rent a car you are on your own and this might take a bit longer.  Many rental cars are now offering their guests to pay for the Florida toll tag for their car. This will save a lot of time when traveling on the toll roads which includes from the airport. Many of the delays on this road are due to the long line ups at the toll stations! Also if you are using a rental car be sure and bring the address for the All Star Movie resort so you can use the car's GPS system to find your way once you are on Disney property. There will be many signs but a GPS certainly helps in addition!
