We are visiting WDW February 27th thru March 4th. Do you have any suggestions on what type of clothing I should pack? Does it rain a lot that time of year? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Tina,

February and March are delightful months to visit the Walt Disney World Resort.  The average high temperatures in February hover in the low 70s.  Typical low temperatures at that same time are in the 40s.  My family frequently visits Orlando in March.  We have always enjoyed the moderate spring temperatures (50s-70s) during spring break.

I would suggest you plan to wear layers in the theme parks.  In the morning, particularly if you arrive at your destination for the day by boat, you'll be glad to have a light weight jacket with a hood.  By afternoon, you'll probably want to shed that jacket and tuck it away in a backpack.  Although February and March are not the months with the highest rainfall in Florida, quick but powerful rain storms can occur at any time of the year.  It would be worth purchasing a rain poncho from a dollar store before you leave home to keep with you in the parks.

It's not a bad idea to pack a swimsuit to use in the heated resort pools and hot tubs.  And regardless what time of year you visit, be sure to include sunscreen when you pack.

Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
