Hey there, Erin welcome to
planDisney! We are excited that you have stopped by with your question. Planning accordingly and expectations are important when heading into a vacation week.
The first week of February is one of my favorite weeks to visit
Walt Disney World. This year is no different, the temperatures in my home state of New Jersey are perfect to fly away from. I have visited in past years during these cheer and other dance competitions, and I have never had an issue being able to enjoy the parks due to capacity. During most of your stay there will not be any competition days. Those are scheduled for February 7-10th according to the website for the event, and it is being held at
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Not all cheer squads come for an entire week, so I think you will have a very typical first week of February.
If you are worried about being able to have low wait times and less time in line, I absolutely love the
Lightning Lane MultiPass. Being able to plan main attractions before you arrive and see what is available before you pay is a game changer. My preference is having it most days so I can spend time enjoying the park rather than being in line. Tailoring each park day with a small outline of where we will be heading and what time allows me to figure out where we will eat. Because it's all about the Mickey-shaped snacks and great meals around every corner. This also allows you to move about the park with ease because each stop is awaiting your arrival.
Another way to zig when everyone else is zagging is placing
Mobile Food Orders before you arrive to the restaurant. If you know it is a ten minute walk from where you are, place the order for 15-20 minutes ahead of time. Then you can leisurely stroll without a sense of rushing to find your way through the other guests. If you use these tips even a heavy crowd park day is easy going and full of fun.
Hoping for your week to be smooth, and that this information and the tips help you plan a great visit.
See ya real soon,
Jeremy A.
