I will be visiting WDW with my family in two weeks, I have end-stage cancer and I am weak and I have to rest often to regain energy. I heard about a special pass to avoid waiting too long, where can I ask for it and do I have to ask about it in every park?

    Hi Diane!

I love your spirit!  I hope you find Walt Disney World to be just the dose of magic that you need!  You sound like a perfect candidate for the Guest Assistance Card, or GAC.  As you enter each park, you will find the Guest Relations desk.  If you pick up a guide map, their locations will be clearly marked.  You will indeed be able to use one card for your entire visit, just let them know how long you will be on property.  Also, many different types of GACs are available and the Cast Members are trained to help determine which one is the best fit for you!

Since your situation may not be clearly obvious to the untrained eye, you may want to have your doctor provide a note on letterhead that indicates that you can't wait in long lines, etc.  It it truly a shame that you may have to "prove" your illness; however, some devious people have tried to get a GAC simply for their own benefit.  The good news is that you and up to five members of your party will be allowed to use your card.  I hope that you have a fabulous vacation and build wonderful memories!

    Much pixie dust,
