We are visiting WDW 12/27/13 - 1/2/14. We have a family of 6. We have three girls and a boy. ages 8,9,10,and 12. I have 2 questions. 1) will the park still be decorated for Christmas? and 2) What character/event reservation is a must have?

    Hi Nicole!

You are so lucky to be visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays.  The Disney resorts and theme parks are simply gorgeous when they are all decked out in their holiday finest.  While there's no strict schedule for the removal of holiday decorations, they will likely not remove any of them during your stay.  I have heard that the decorations typically start to disappear the week after your visit.

While there are many great places to dine with children at Walt Disney World, I highly recommend that you try to make an advance dining reservation at Chef Mickey's during your stay.  It's the classic character dining experience and it's perfect for boys and girls (and adults) of all ages.  Be sure to call (407) WDW-DINE 180 days before your arrival to reserve a meal at this very popular dining establishment in Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Let us know if you need any additional advice as you plan your upcoming trip.  We'd be delighted to assist you!
