We are visiting WDW with our extended family, which includes teenagers and preschoolers. What's the best way to plan our visit to the parks each day? We want to do as much together as we can, but we know we'll need to separate at some point too.

    Hello, Megan,

When planning how to spend the days at the parks, my go-to website is www.touringplans.com which offers over 100 researched itineraries to help guests visit the must-sees while reducing their waits in line.  The touring plans are also suited to fit different guests' needs such as mixed-generation/whole families like you have described.  Even after our many trip to Walt Disney World, we still rely on these plans to help us make the most of our days.  I should note that there is a small cost for this service, but one that I think is worthwhile.

As for going separate ways, I wouldn't do anything "written in stone" at this point; you'll know when the time is right. I've found when traveling with preschoolers that they often need breaks in the afternoons and don't last as long in the evenings, which if you have a similar situation may present your family with the opportunity to then separate.

Have a magical trip; please let us know if we can help again.
