We are visiting WDW in early December, are there any photo ops with Mickey/Minnie dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus? We will be visiting the parks both during MVMCP and normal park hours. Are there any character meet and greets dressed for Christmas?

    Hi Laura,

You are visiting Walt Disney World during a great holiday time -- when all the decorations and special activities are in full bloom, but the crowds are lower between Thanksgiving and Christmas. There's such a festive atmosphere, made even better by a visit to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

I don't recall anyplace where Mickey and Minnie appear together in their holiday finery except on a float in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade. Lots of characters appear in holiday dress for meet and greets  throughout Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, however, including Mickey and Minnie in separate locations. Santa's there, too.

You will find a Christmas-y atmosphere throughout the parks and Disney Springs. I'm excited to see the new Festival of Holiday Trees, part of the Holidays at Disney Springs celebration.

Speaking of new, you also will want to check out the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks and projection show at Hollywood Studios. It looks amazing.

And Holidays Around the World at Epcot is so beautiful, including the inspiring Candlelight Processional, authentic celebrations in each country of the World Showcase and a special IllumiNations.

Thanks for stopping in at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Laura. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans. Enjoy your visit!
