Hello! I will be visiting WDW during the first week of April and am dealing with hip bursitis. Occasional icing of the area really helps and I was wondering where is the best place to get ice/ice packs (awkward to ask at food venue, can bring own bags)?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Mary!

Your trip is so close now I bet you can smell the pixie dust!

I am so sorry that you're having problems with your hip.  I'm glad to hear that you're thinking ahead because there is a lot of walking involved at Disney World.

I'd suggest that you visit a First Aid Location.  You'll find them located in all four of the theme parks and both water parks.  The locations will be indicated by a blue square with a white cross on each of the Park Guide Maps.  Each of the First Aid Locations is staffed by a Nurse that can assist you.  If you have a heavy duty ice pack that you'd prefer to use, take it. That way, if you're on a different side of the park than the First Aid location and really feel you need ice, you can always ask for a cup of ice at a food service location and use your own ice pack to put it in.

Remember to take it easy and don't over do it. If you feel that you'd benefit from using a wheelchair or ECV at any point during your visit, they are available for rent in the parks. You may feel great the first day and push yourself too far without even realizing it and pay for it the rest of your trip. Listen to your body and take a break when you need one.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR to help!  Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
