Hi, I will be visiting WDW 10/22-10/30/2011. We are deciding when to go to each park. I know October is a slow time of year. Should we still avoid EMH parks for low crowds? Or will it be manageable.

Hello neighbor (or at least fellow Wisconsinite!) You're getting out of the state just in time. Goodbye frost and hello Florida!

You should totally use Extra Magic Hours to your benefit. True, morning Extra Magic Hours sometimes cause crowd levels to be higher in the particular park offering the extra hour; however, if you're at the park in time to experience the morning Extra Magic Hour from the get-go, it will be the least crowded hour you'll have in the park. In fact, even during the first hour or two after the park opens to all guests, crowd levels are still manageable. After that, the park fills up more than usual due to people with a late start finally arriving at the park.

Evening Extra Magic Hours don't tend to skew crowd levels that much. I'd recommend utilizing those as much as possible too, especially on nights when other parks close early evening.
