We are visiting WDW this December, with us we have around 48 people of our family traveling with us. Do you have any suggestions on how to organize such a big group?

    Hi Maria!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

With a group that large, I'm assuming you already have Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) for any large group Table Service restaurant meals that you intend on having.  If you don't then it might be too late, but you should still try to make some by calling the individual restaurants directly.  However, it might just be easier to break the group up into smaller groups for Table Service meals.

That said, I think it is also best to break the group up for touring the parks.  It can be different groups of people and it the group sizes and makeups can change from day to day.  Everybody could come together for meals, especially Quick Service meals, and special events like the parades and fireworks.  This is based on my experience of visiting Walt Disney World with large groups of people.  Members of the group will usually have their own needs, desires, priorities, etc especially if the ages of the members vary a lot.

You should, to the extent possible, try to engage every member in trip planning.  You might asking each member what is their one or two things that they absolutely want to do on this trip and then try to put together a touring plan that fulfills everybody's "top two must do's".

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
