A warm welcome from all of us here at planDisney, Vicky. I always love to hear from a Brit due to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth - even more so when they are during the most magical time of year. Main Street, U.S.A. during a 'snoapfall' at Christmastime is the stuff of Disney dreams!
It certainly sounds like Walt Disney World's Disability Access Service (DAS) may be helpful to you. Once DAS is in place, it allows up to five fellow Guests to select return times for experiences rather than waiting in line.
Vicky, as a fellow U.K. resident, I know we cannot preregister for DAS at this time. Not to worry, you can still obtain DAS in just a few moments. Once you arrive at any Walt Disney World theme park, speak with
Guest Relations, and they will walk you through the setup. You only need to do this once for DAS to be valid for your entire adventure.
Cast Members are kind and helpful and can assist with other needs, such as guidance on storing and refrigerating necessary medicine. Should you have any queries with your DAS within the parks, you can speak with the Guest Experience Team, and I know they will do their utmost to help.
If you haven't already done so, I recommend downloading the
My Disney Experience App. It's the source of pretty much everything at Walt Disney World, so it's worth getting a feel for it before arrival.
Vicky, I hope this information helps today! I wish you a wonderfully festive time making magical memories at Walt Disney World. This season really is a wonder to behold at Walt Disney World. I recommend taking some time to wander around the epically decorated Disney Resort hotels. The Gingerbread house at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is astounding! You can even pick up some gingerbread that helped build the magic as a tasty treat.
