Hello there! Welcome to planDisney, Tim!
December is such a fabulous time to visit
Walt Disney World. Not only are the holiday festivities in full swing, but you’ll also arrive in time to enjoy
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, which ends on March 31st, 2023. How lucky to be there during two such extraordinary times, right?!
One of my favorite things to do on any Walt Disney World vacation is to hop around and explore a few of the
Disney Resort Collection hotels. They are each so unique, with incredibly immersive themes that will make you feel like you’ve been transported to fabulous destinations across the globe. It’s just so much fun to check them out, so I’m pleased to hear you’ll be visiting some resorts during your upcoming vacation.
Now, you do not need to secure an
Advanced Dining Reservation to visit the resorts. However, you would not be able to park your vehicle there without being a guest staying at the resort or without a dining reservation (which allows for a maximum of three hours of parking time). So, if you plan to visit the resorts, I recommend getting dropped off via a rideshare service like Lyft. Alternatively, you could park your vehicle at one of the theme parks and then use the complimentary Walt Disney World Bus Transportation to head over to the resort you want to visit.
Standard vehicle parking at the theme parks currently costs $25 per day, but that rate is subject to change. If you do decide to park your vehicle first, I recommend leaving between 30-45 minutes to get to the resort if you have any time-specific plans.
Tim, we can’t talk about the holiday decorations without mentioning Christmas trees! All of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels have a tree creatively decorated in the resort's theme, so I just love checking them all out. My favorite from Christmas 2021 has to be the tree at
Disney's Beach Club Resort. I mean, who doesn’t love the holidays with a bit of coastal flair? You definitely don’t want to miss them!
I hope you found this answer helpful! As you continue to prep for your upcoming visit, know that we are here to help you make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. So, please visit us again with any questions you may have.
Bye for now!
