We will be visiting WDW in December 2013 for our first Christmas season vist. I was wondering if booking the Candlelight Dinner Package is worth it? What are the advantages of booking the dinner compared to standing in line? Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Tina!

You're in for such an amazing treat! Christmas is the most magical time of the year to visit Disney World!

I love the Candlelight Processional! The uplifting music and message are so beautiful. Everyone will have their opinion regarding the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package and whether or not its worth the money. I personally like to try everything at Disney at least once for myself. Did I think it was worth the money? Yes. Would I pay to do it every single trip at Christmas? No.

    Here are some thoughts:

    * Its great to know I'll have a nice relaxing meal at a wonderful restaurant (there are usually around 14 different participating restaurants to choose from).
    * I like knowing I'll be guaranteed seating in a reserved section and that I don't have to get there as earlier to wait in line for seats. That gives me more time to enjoy all of the wonderful things Epcot has to offer.
    * The dinner package also includes a special viewing location for IllumiNations. Guests typically start selecting their spots at least an hour before IllumiNations so I'll have even more time to enjoy the park that way too.

If you are on a tight budget or trying to decide between the Candlelight Dinner Package and something else, you can absolutely see the Candlelight Processional without booking the dinner package. Just keep in mind you'll need to plan to arrive at the American Gardens Theater early (especially if its during a peak week or a popular Celebrity Narrator). As with parades and fireworks, we've often taken a small cushion and grabbed a snack to enjoy while we waited in line.

Please feel free to visit with any other questions. Its our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
