Visiting WDW for 8 days for 1st time 09//11 with DH and DD's 7 and 11- which moderate hotel would be most fun and memorable for us?

    Hi Brenda!
The moderate resorts are a great way to stretch your budget while still getting to enjoy the magic and benefits of staying at a Disney property. Although I feel each of the "moderates" has their individual pros and cons, I feel most strongly about staying at Port Orleans Riverside. The resort setting is magnificent!! In addition, Ol' Man Island is one of the better resort swimming pools with a decent slide and a refreshing waterfall. I also love the food court with at least 4-5 separate offerings at every meal. For example, dinner offers a fresh deluxe salad station, fresh made-to-order pasta bar, pizza service, sandwiches made to order, and hot entree choices. Also, Boatwright's Dining Hall is a wonderful sit down, full service restaurant located right next to the food court. There are also plenty of recreation options including boat rentals and fishing. Port Orleans Riverside is also one of the few resorts where you can even take a nice boat cruise to Downtown Disney for dinner, shopping or just to walk around a bit. And DO NOT MISS Yeehah Bob if he is playinig in the lounge...a real blast for the entire family!! I feel this resort has everything that you could want or need, and it is my absolute favorite moderate hotel property.
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical stay!! :)
