Visiting WDW in 90 days, for the 1st time with 2 boys 11&3 & Want to upgrade to a deluxe. Not sure which to choose...Wildreness Lodge @ Club Level (standard room) or Contemporary (Tower Bay Lake View). They are about the same $, any suggestions wou

Hi Jennifer!  Two great choices you are mentioning and it is hard to choose. Let me talk about some of the pros for each that might help you make the final decision.

I have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge on the Club Level several times and love the atmosphere in this resort. It is a bit more quiet and relaxed and there is nothing like the great lobby of the main lodge building!  The stone fireplace and the rockers are great places to sit and watch and de-stress after long days in the parks.  The Club Level lounge is wonderful and the concierge cast members are some of the best.  You will find food in the lounge almost continually throughout the day from breakfast fare to mid-day snacks to hot options early evening to ending with a variety of sweets.  For many families this helps them not spend as much money in the parks on breakfast and snacks.

The downside of this resort is that it is not on the monorail system and you will need to bus to three of the parks.  You will take a boat to the Magic Kingdom and that is actually very efficient and easy.  I have never felt it a real negative to bus to the parks so that has never been an issue for me.

The Contemporary main building rooms will be some of the largest on property. When I stayed there I also had a Bay Lake view and really enjoyed the serenity of that side.  If I wanted to see the Magic Kingdom you can always head down and view that from many other locations in the resort. The decor is modern and surprisingly the rooms are very quiet even if you are close to the monorail tracks. You can walk to the Magic Kingdom, bus to two parks, and use the monorail to reach Epcot (one change).

Both are excellent so it comes down to this: availability of food and concierge assistance throughout your stay every day or slightly larger room and easy monorail access. My choice....Wilderness Lodge club level.
