Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We are visiting WDW 12/22/12-1/2/13 and my daughter's 6th birthday falls on 1/4/13. Would it still be okay for us to celebrate her birthday while at WDW? Would they make a fuss over her at a restaurant, etc?

    Hi Laura!

    How exciting that you will be visiting Walt Disney World over Christmas and New Year!  You can most certainly celebrate your daughter's 6th birthday while you are there, even though you will not be there on the actual day (it is only two days away).  You can pick up a free 'Today is my Birthday' button from Guest Relations at any of the theme parks, or the front desk or concierge desk at your resort.  If your daughter wears this button she will have Cast Members and many other people wishing her a Happy Birthday all day!  When you are having dinner, mention to your server that it's your daughter's birthday - they may even surprise her!
