We will be visiting WDW in a couple weeks and my 3 yr old son is 39 1/2 inches. Can he ride on rides that require you to be 40 inches if we ride with him??

    Hi there Jenn!

Height restrictions are in place on certain Walt Disney World Resort attractions for a child's safety. Cast members will not allow anyone that doesn't meet the height requirements to experience an attraction. You may wish to double-check your son's height closer to your travel dates, in case he's had a growth spurt just prior to your leaving home.

You might wish to consider the Rider Swap Option. This is when guests take turns waiting with youngsters too small to ride a certain attraction, then "swap" with another adult guest from their party to experience the ride without standing in line twice. Simply see a cast member at the attraction for additional information.

Lastly, a great unofficial resource with a "Height Requirement Calculator" can be found at: Select "Planning" from the drop down menu at the top and then, "Height Requirements". You'll be able to put in your son's current height and receive a list of attractions that he can enjoy.

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your trip! May your Disney vacation be practically perfect in every way!.
