Welcome to planDisney, Melissa.
How wonderful that you’re planning to meet up with friends during your Walt Disney World vacation! I have fond memories of meeting up with some friends for dinner. They were also staying off-site, and so we met at
Disney's BoardWalk, had dinner together, and laughed the night away. It must have been fifteen years ago, but I still reminisce about it.
When it comes to parking, Disney typically allows non-resort Guests to park at a hotel if they have a confirmed dining reservation. However, since
Dinsey's All-Star Movies Resort doesn’t have a table-service restaurant (only a quick-service food court), there may be tighter limits on Guest parking. If you’re just planning to drop in for a casual visit or dinner at the
World Premiere Food Court, you may be asked to show ID and could be turned away if the lot is full or if you don’t have a reservation or mobile order confirmation. A friendly conversation with the security Cast Member at the gate sometimes goes a long way, but parking isn't always guaranteed. Even so, I don't anticipate you having a problem.
A helpful tip: if parking ends up being an issue, you can always park at
Disney Springs (which is free), then take a Disney bus directly to Disney's All-Star Movies to meet up with your friends. It adds a little travel time, but it’s a fun way to explore more of the property and spend the evening together without worry. You could also just meet up at Disney's Springs for dinner. It has much better dining options and takes away any potential problems.
I hope that's helpful, Melissa. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
Mike
