We are visiting WDW over the Columbus Day holiday period and wondered if there are any special celebrations that we should plan on seeing? Which park would be the best to visit on the actual day? Thanks :)

You would think, Michaela, that we Americans would be more inclined to celebrate Columbus Day, but the truth is that it is one of our more obscure holidays.  I am not aware of any celebrations taking place at Disney in observance of Columbus Day.  The good news, however, is that there are plenty of other special events taking place around the world during your visit.  The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is among them, and it is a favorite of mine.  Over at Magic Kingdom, the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party might also tickle your fancy.  In any case, I hope you have a lovely trip and thoroughly enjoy your Columbus Day!
