We will be visiting WDW at Christmas next year. We will be staying on-site and will have a Magic Your Way Package. DO we still have to pay extra for the Mickey's Verry Merry Christmas?

Bonjour, Veronique! Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is indeed a separate ticketed event. Only those who purchase a ticket for the party will gain admission into Magic Kingdom for the event.

Rather than burn a park ticket during the morning and then use a separately purchased ticket for a special event at night, we usually take the morning off from visiting a park. Instead, we plan on sleeping in and hitting a late breakfast / brunch at a resort restaurant, such as Boma. We can then relax and meander, take in the resort(s) and maybe even take a short trip over to Downtown Disney. Then, later in the day, we head on over to Magic Kingdom and have a blast. The Holiday Wishes fireworks are especially spectacular.
