I am visiting WDW for my 40th birthday in August. I have made dinner reservations at California grill and planned to watch the fireworks, but MK is closing at 6pm that evening (24th) presumably for a private event. Will they still have a firework show?

    Hi Leonie,

I can't think of a better place to celebrate a birthday than at Walt Disney World Resort! It sounds like you have the perfect plans with dinner at the amazing California Grill followed by fireworks to commemorate your special day. While the dates for Mickeys Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2018 haven't been officially released yet, rumor has it that in all likelihood, there will be a party on August 24th. If this is the case, you will be treated to a special viewing of the Happy HalloWishes Fireworks. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite Special Events at Disney, and the fireworks are definitely a highlight. Viewing them from atop Disney's Contemporary Resort will leave you with lasting memories to cherish. Make sure that you ask a Cast Member to make a note of your special celebration on your Advanced Dining Reservation.

Wishing you a very Happy 40th Birthday and countless magical memories,
