    We are visiting WDW in August, one of the adults travelling with us has a birthday while we are visiting I am wondering if we order a cake for our meal at Crystal Palace is there an ability to have the uneaten portion of the cake sent to our room?

    Hello, Tammy!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!!

    I am thrilled to see that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner!  There is nothing better than celebrating a birthday while on vacation.  I am so excited about your upcoming trip, so we had better get started.

    I was able to speak with a Cast Member at The Crystal Palace.  He informed me that, although cakes are able to be delivered to the restaurant, they would not be able to send any back to your resort.  Now I have to add that my family and I love dining at The Crystal Palace.  With three grown boys, the all-you-care-to-eat buffet is quite satisfying. My boys have big appetites and they rarely visit the dessert area of The Crystal Palace.  Needless to say, you will have some cake leftover and probably lots of it.  Budget wise, it makes no sense to just leave it behind and I am sure you do not want to carry it around the park with you. No worries! Your friend can still enjoy a special treat.  Upon check-in, let the Cast Member know that you are celebrating a birthday.  They will usually deliver a cupcake with a candle to your table.  I know it is not a cake, but you and your guests will be so full and it is still a great way to acknowledge a birthday AND you do not have to worry about carrying a cake around. If you still choose to order a cake, please call the cake hotline at (407)827-2253.  The cakes are beautiful!

    I must recommend the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party.  This is a great way to celebrate your friend! Desserts all around, friends and fireworks...MAGICAL!
