I will be visiting WDW in August with my husband and 18 month old daugther. I want to try a character dining experience but am a little nervous about how she will react to the characters. Which are the best places to go for minimal character interaction?

Hi Cierra! Thanks for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Panel! That is a common issue at Walt Disney World, and thus the characters are generally very good about "reading" children and backing off if necessary. I do suggest that you position your child on the side of the table away from the main traffic route until you see how she reacts. Enjoy planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and write back if necessary.
