    We are visiting WDW in Aug,getting excited! Is it possible to walk in to restaurants in Downtown Disney without a reservation?Whilst I have made reservations for some days,I would love to be able to spontaneously decide, without having everything planned.

    Hi Stefanie, 

    Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am happy to hear you are getting excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation in August, my daughter and I will be there as well!  Downtown Disney has so many fabulous dining options, I can see why you would want to take a look at everything there is to offer and be spontaneous.  Table Service locations are very popular and do tend to fill up quickly, leaving little wiggle room for walk-up dining.  Advanced Dining Reservations are highly recommended and can be booked up to 180 days in advance, but they are not always necessary.  If you arrive early enough, some restaurants may have availability, but you may have to wait.  I would recommend being as flexible as possible with your dining times and take whatever the Cast Member has to offer, if anything at all.  

    I suggest taking another look at the restaurants located in Downtown Disney and make some more reservations based on what you think would work.  If you have a change of heart, you can always cancel your reservation 24 hours prior to the reservation without penalty.
